Autumn Arrived Early at My Booth!

Making the transition from summer to fall at my booth.

Loaded up the car this morning and headed over to Oregon St. Antiques Mall.

Added cobwebs, ravens, spiders, and leaves.

Plus brought in a car load of items from the Open House!

Oh yes, did you notice the natural light and the wall?

I moved the other week to a different booth upstairs.

Same size of space as before but with 2 walls and a window!

I have PACKED this booth! 

I'm sooo not a professional photographer~plus doesn't help that I've dropped my little camera a few times.

Shh don't tell Mr. Smith-that will be our little secret!

 

I'm off to take Drama Queen to visit great grandma and watch the animal show at her assisted living apartments!

Successful Open House!

The Open House went well yesterday!

Now I'm in the process of getting my house changed from a "shop" back to a "home".

Deciding what to take to Oregon Street Antiques Mall tomorrow and what I will save for the Roses and Rust Barn sale in October.

Car is packed and I'll be heading to Oregon St. Antiques Mall tomorrow to change my booth from summer to fall!

As a side note: I mentioned something about a giveaway for my 100th post-which I conveniently forgot about since I was getting ready for the open house.

From my Etsy Shop-to celebrate 100th post and 100 followers I'm giving away a bottle cap pendant and tea towel.

Long ago, a young doctor, Dr. Smith, fell in love with a young music teacher, Ms. Dobson.

Therein lies the mystery.....   

What truly became of their love?

Dr. Smith's office holds clues suggesting what materialized.

Suitcases...a lengthy trip?

Containers of poison....

Skulls....

What was Dr. Smith's consuming passion?

Street sign from Berkeley....

Clues to the rendezvous scene?

 

Remembrances of a baby, child, mother, lady....Who was she?

Investigating for evidence...

Severe implements, a boot, a hat, a shawl, a picnic basket, a bottle of poison, a shovel.....

Ms. Dobsons' music books....

Did he yearn for her?

Did he make her vanish?

Was she able to flee before his obsession turned sinister?

Cobwebs blanket her pictures....

Objects left behind perhaps suggest a frightening demise....

We may never know.....

Quandary......

Quandary.....

n. A state of hesitation or perplexity; predicament.  

I started blogging back in November and this is my 99th post.......I have 97 followers......

Didn't want to just do any old 99th post........thought it would be fun to have 100 followers for my 100th post......maybe a giveaway?  Well I tried that before and only 11 people entered and my Mom won.....

Sigh.....

I know silly me!

On to more important matters....

Still working on the Open House and Boutique.....September 11th at my house....Gulp.....

10 days....

Mr. Smith finally hung my brass chandelier up for my display!

Mr. Smith painted and installed my White kitchen cabinet so I could load it up with my goodies for sale!

My fabulous birdcages on top of the black library table that Mr.Smith painted black.

I love the white rusty "McMansion" one!

Snow White all curled up on top of pillows and a blanket-she has is so rough here!

Oh and don't look at the crooked pictures in the back or the coke can waiting to be put in the recycled bin!

I have 10 days to clean up the house and get my friends moved in with their goodies to sell! 

Oh and I'm moving! 

Yep!  Got a new space at the Oregon Street Antiques Mall.....I have 2 walls and a window plus more foot traffic! 

So if anyone is reading, please give me some feedback on what I should do for my 100th post!  Fellow bloggers-has anyone else had this problem?

Preview of TheSmithHotel's Second Open House and Boutique...

I've been slacking on blogging...  Kids are back at school and I've been busy cleaning out the office to set up shop for our open house on Sept 11th.

I'm trying to clean out the garage so Mr. Smith can work on another paint project-a kitchen cabinet that I will be using for displaying all my kitchen items that I've been gathering.

Since the kids are back in school, I've been working at Oregon St. Antiques Mall. 

I made the mistake of looking at the calendar and started to panic.....3 weeks till Open House....I've still have loads to do and make! 

So I haven't disappeared......Well maybe I have with my house looking like this...

Moved furniture around the other night and still need to put the rug back....for now we are just stepping over it....

It's so bad the front door is blocked......What's a dining room chair doing in the living room?  Sigh...I still have loads of work to do but now I must get ready to go to work!  It will still be waiting for me when I get home!

 I promise it won't look like this in 3 weeks!  Really!  It's driving me crazy.....I really need a barn!
